What is the purpose of this retreat?
This is a special weekend created for women who desire to grow closer to God and experience transformation from the inside out. This will be a time of rest, renewal, reflection, and deeper connection with the presence of God. It will be a time of worship, prayer, learning, and creating space for God to shape each and every heart in a fresh and powerful way.
Do I have to participate in every session?
Yes. Each session is designed to build upon each other. Each day of the retreat will need to be attended to receive the full benefits of the trip. This will provide beautiful and substantial growth in each participant.
When and where is the retreat?
The retreat will take place September 11, 2026 to September 13, 2026. Check-in will be 4:00pm Friday evening, with check-out being Sunday morning at 11:00am. This retreat will be at held at the beautiful Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center in Toano, Virginia near Historic Williamsburg, Virginia. The retreat center provides a place for the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of those who attend through camping, retreats and so much more.
What does the registration fee cover?
Your registration fee covers lodging and retreat materials.
What is not covered?
Transportation, lunch and dinner are not covered in the fee.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Within the retreat center is a newly renovated, hotel-style facility called the Oakwood Lodge, that will be home for our attendees for these three days. Each room has two queen beds and a bathroom. Attendees will be sharing accommodations during their stay.
Are children welcome at this retreat?
No. This retreat offers you a chance to escape and rejuvenate in a tranquil, spirit-filled environment. While the joy of children is cherished at River of Life Church, this getaway is exclusively for adults. By the end of the weekend, you will feel refreshed and ready to joyfully reconnect with your family.
Will my dietary restrictions be accommodated?
During the retreat, breakfast and light refreshments will be provided. Dietary restrictions that are provided upon registration will be accommodated.
How will meals be done?
Breaks will be worked into the schedule for lunch and dinner. At these times attendees are able to go to restaurants near the retreat center.
What spiritual items should I bring?
All attendees are encouraged to bring a physical Bible, a journal and a writing utensil.
Is there cell phone service and Wi-fi?
The retreat center does have cell service and wi-fi. Although they are available, attendees are encouraged to unplug and minimize screen time. This would help everyone to fully benefit from the retreat.
