Core Beliefs
The following are some of the core beliefs of River of Life Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
- In one God - revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- In the absolute inspiration of the Scriptures.
- In man's inability to save himself apart from God's grace and faith in Jesus Christ.
- In Jesus Christ - begotten by the Spirit and born of a virgin.
- In water baptism by immersion and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- In the priesthood of the believer which means equal access to God.
- In the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for all believers.
- In the resurrection of the dead, judgment and a literal Heaven and Hell.
- In the Sacrament of Marriage between one man and one woman.
- In the literal second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and a new heaven and earth.
The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
